Maryland Home Electrification Series

We Are Holding Events Across the State to Help Marylanders Learn How To Save Money By Transitioning To Clean Energy!

Maryland utility costs have surged. The median Maryland household now spends over $6,500 a year on utilities–the highest prices in the country.

These rising costs are being driven in part by rapidly growing electricity demand from data centers, the grid upgrades needed to serve them, and increasingly extreme temperatures.

One way Maryland households can save thousands of dollars a year on utility bills is by electrifying homes, weatherizing, buying and producing clean energy, upgrading appliances and electrical panels, getting an electric heat pump HVAC installed, and installing an electric water heater.

All this may seem overwhelming, but it’s not with right information and resources. That’s why we’re hosting events across Maryland to connect you with homeowners who have already made these upgrades, learn about available resources, and figure out which improvements make sense for your home and budget—whether you’re ready to start now, or simply planning ahead for future electrification.
